Continua partner ecosystem

Kids Brain Health is a partner ecosystem helping science reach children, families and communities faster.

Early identification. Effective interventions. Family support. Real-world implementation for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

A partner for the part of mental health that begins before crisis, before adulthood and before systems usually intervene.

Kids Brain Health is a national Canadian platform focused on improving outcomes for children and youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families. Through Kids Brain Health Network, Kids Brain Health Foundation and Kids Brain Health Innovation Fund, KBH+ connects research, philanthropy, implementation and investment so discoveries can become practical tools, interventions and supports that families can actually use.

Why this partnership matters

Mental health, neurodevelopment and family wellbeing cannot be separated.

Continua works across the mental-health continuum, from early support and prevention through crisis connection and recovery. Kids Brain Health brings deep expertise in neurodevelopmental disabilities, early identification, effective interventions and family support. Together, the relationship strengthens a shared commitment to trusted, evidence-informed pathways that reach children and families earlier, reduce fragmentation, and help credible solutions move from research and pilots into real-world use.

01

Earlier identification

Supporting approaches that help children and families understand needs sooner, when intervention can change life trajectories.

02

Effective interventions

Helping tested and practical supports move beyond research settings into communities, services and family life.

03

Family support

Recognising that child wellbeing depends on parents, caregivers, schools, services and community systems working together.

04

Innovation with impact

Connecting knowledge generation, philanthropy, partnerships and investment to scale solutions that can make a measurable difference.

The shared opportunity

Build a more connected pathway for children’s brain health and mental health.

Too many families face delays, fragmented services and the burden of navigating complex systems alone. Continua and Kids Brain Health are aligned around a different model: trusted solutions, earlier support, lived-experience insight, implementation discipline and scalable pathways that help children and families thrive.

From evidence to access Promising science should not stay trapped in papers, pilots or specialist settings.
From families to systems Children need support around them, not a maze that parents must solve alone.
From innovation to adoption The goal is not more disconnected tools. The goal is support that can be trusted, used and scaled.
Partner with us

Help move children’s brain health solutions into practice.

Continua welcomes funders, researchers, clinicians, schools, employers, youth organisations, family advocates, implementation partners and innovators who want to help build safer, earlier and more connected support for children, young people and families.

Continua Mind Health

The trusted implementation layer mental health is missing.

Finding what works. Scaling what matters. Building what is missing.

Continua is a mission-led mental-health and suicide-prevention platform helping people get the right support earlier, more safely and more effectively. We work across the full continuum, from stress, anxiety and burnout, through serious illness, to self-harm, suicidal thoughts and crisis connection.

We are a sister platform to Mission10X, a partner of the Kids Brain Health Network, and built with senior leaders from healthcare, AI, clinical safety and digital-health regulation.

Why this matters

Mental health does not suffer from a shortage of concern. It suffers from a shortage of trusted pathways.

In 2022, 59.3 million US adults, 23.1%, had a mental illness. In 2023, 40% of high-school students reported feeling persistently sad or hopeless, 20% had seriously considered suicide and 9% had attempted it. These numbers are rising faster than the support around them. People wait too long, struggle to know which support to trust, and move between disconnected services. Families, teachers, coaches, employers, clinicians and community leaders see the warning signs but rarely have clear, safe guidance on what to do next.

01

Limited capacity

Workforce shortages, long waits, uneven access and patchy specialist provision leave too many people unsupported.

02

Fragmented pathways

Healthcare, schools, employers, families, sports bodies, payors, crisis services and digital tools all hold pieces of the answer, and rarely operate as one.

03

Late intervention

Most funding, attention and infrastructure activates only once someone is already close to crisis.

04

Noisy innovation

Technology is moving fast. Not every tool is credible, safe, evidence-informed or connected to real care.

The structural gap

No single organisation in the current system is built to solve mental health end to end.

There is no shortage of effort. Payors, providers, governments, employers, schools, sports bodies, charities, technology companies and crisis services all touch the problem. The pathways between them are weak or missing.

01

Payors

Not structured to coordinate the full mental-health journey across the populations they do not insure.

02

Providers

Constrained by capacity and reimbursement. Early intervention loses to short-term throughput every time.

03

Governments

Move slowly, are budget-bound and fragmented across federal, state, district and agency lines.

04

Employers, schools, sports and communities

See the warning signs but lack the tools, evidence and pathways to act safely.

05

Awareness charities

Raise visibility but were not built to assess technology, run pilots, generate evidence or steward adoption.

06

Research foundations

Fund science. Rarely deploy what comes out the other end.

07

Venture capital

Backs what scales commercially. Many essential solutions, especially for the highest-risk groups, will never look like venture returns.

08

Crisis services

Activate at the worst point. By then much of the preventable harm has already happened.

Continua is the connective layer between them, neutral, mission-led, evidence-disciplined, and able to build what no single one of them can.
Our model

From need, to evidence, to responsible adoption.

Continua brings healthcare, technology, research, philanthropy, lived experience, clinical expertise, community partners and mission-aligned capital together to make trusted mental-health support easier to find, safer to use, and available earlier.

Find what works

We scan mental-health, suicide-prevention, digital-health, AI, clinical practice, research and community innovation to identify approaches with credible potential.

Validate what matters

We assess evidence, claims, clinical safety, usability, workflow fit, data protection and measurable impact, with independent review and pilot trials in real settings.

Scale what is ready

We connect effective solutions to pilot sites, partners, funders, institutions and communities, with implementation playbooks that travel.

Build what is missing

Where no adequate solution exists, we create or incubate therapist-supported and AI-enabled tools with safety designed in from the start.

How it works

Seven steps from need to impact.

1

Identify need

Where are people falling through gaps?

2

Scan what exists

Which tools, services, models or research show promise?

3

Review credibility

Assess evidence, safety, privacy, equity and usability.

4

Pilot responsibly

Test with the right safeguards, partners and metrics.

5

Support adoption

Help institutions implement what works in real settings.

6

Build or incubate

Create new tools where the current market does not meet need.

7

Report impact

Share what works, what does not and what should scale.

Built in, not bolted on

Suicide prevention cannot begin only at the moment of crisis.

Risk builds through stress, isolation, trauma, injury, identity loss, substance use, depression, relationship breakdown, financial pressure, transition and untreated illness. Continua is designed to reach people earlier, recognise risk sooner, support trusted adults, connect digital support to human support, and make escalation routes clearer.

Reach earlier Make trusted support visible before distress becomes acute.
Recognise sooner Improve navigation, risk signals, safety design and escalation pathways.
Connect safely Ensure technology links to human, clinical and crisis support when risk increases.
Continua is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number now. In the United States, call, text or chat 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Foundation, Ventures, Social Enterprises

Built to back the ideas that fit a market, and the ones that never will.

Most innovation organisations have to choose between charitable mission and commercial scale. Continua is set up to do both, with a third route for solutions that are socially essential but will never look like a venture return.

Continua Foundation, 501(c)(3)

The not-for-profit engine. Identifies, validates, pilots and funds the most promising solutions in mental health and suicide prevention. Receives grants, donations and program-related investment. Builds the evidence and the network.

Continua Ventures

The for-profit venture studio. Commercialises tools that are ready to scale through clinical, employer, payor or consumer channels. Spins out companies with mission-protected terms: access commitments for underserved groups, board governance that preserves the charitable purpose, and proceeds that flow back to the Foundation.

Sustainable Social Enterprises

Vehicles funded inside the Foundation for solutions that should exist forever but were never going to make a venture return, family guidance for high-risk transitions, support for rural and underserved groups, crisis-adjacent navigation, lived-experience-led tools. They are built to operate indefinitely on a self-sustaining basis rather than chase an exit.

Innovation Fund

An innovation fund created with Mission10X for Healthcare and targeting an initial $100M of funds. The objective is to support mission aligned ventures and solutions with the emphasis on impact while delivering returns for investors. The ecosystem should help increase the expected value of returns by supporting some ventures from idea to scale implementation.

Healthcare credibility. AI capability. Clinical discipline.

Built with the senior leaders who have shaped how the world’s most respected systems work.

Mental-health innovation cannot be judged by enthusiasm alone. It has to be safe, clinically responsible, trusted, measurable and capable of being adopted. Continua is built with that bar in mind.
